If I write "basketball" on the search engine on yahoo then search, go back to the main page, then write b on the search engine again, a small box appears showing other searches under "b". How do I get rid of and/or stop it from appearing?

you need to erase both the cache and the history. sometime the browser has an option to reset as well (like safari). both should be under preferences, but it depends on the browser. just be glad its just basketball and not … well…something else maybe more embarrassing.
